Get to know a little more about the team that helps make Squirrelwood so special.
Lisa
Owner and passionate about teaching and the welfare of horses. Special interest is human therapy with horses. Lisa is BHSAI, an RDA group coach, is experienced at Parelli, was trained by a Spanish Riding School instructor and has also competed in BDA carriage driving.
Megan
Yard Manager. Her lessons are fun and technical at the same time. Very organised and efficient team member.
Julia
Fantastically patient and a great teacher with a horsey sense of humour. Julia has ABRS UK coaching qualification stage 2 and enjoys competing at dressage.
Mel
Mel has many years of riding experience, having learned at Squirrel Wood from a young age. Mel has completed her BHS stage 2 and is now working on her stage 3. Mel regularly leads our hacks and is a key worker in breaking in the young horses.
Izzy
Izzy enjoys teaching all age groups and running Own a Pony days. Has completed her BHS stage1. Currently working towards her BHS stage 2.
